Looking for something exciting to do this October near One Cathedral Square? Look no further! From the South Street Fest to the Gritty 5K, there’s lots to do this fall, all within minutes of Logan Square.

South Street Fest

Ready to “fall” in love with South Street this fall? Set for Saturday, Oct. 1 from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., head over to South Street between 2nd and 8th streets for international food, drinks, handmade crafts, eclectic vendors and more.  As part of South Street Fest 2022, other events will be occurring as well, including Brauhaus Schmitz’s 14th Annual South Street Oktoberfest and Philly AIDS Thrift’s 17th Anniversary Block Party. Midtown Village Fall Festival

Hosted every autumn, the Midtown village Fall Festival attracts over 50,000 attendees in celebration of Philly’s independent boutiques, restaurants, galleries and more in Midtown. The festival kicks off Saturday, October 1 from noon to 8 p.m., which means you’ll have plenty of time to explore South Street Fest before heading over to Midtown Village. Gritty 5K at Wells Fargo Center

“Never ran a race of any kind in your life? Never want to run another race again? This one is for you. Sign up now, it’ll be a piece of cake,” or so goes the description of this year’s Gritty 5K presented by Penn Medicine.

Confetti cannons will pop off at 8:30 a.m. this October 22 to kick off the anti-runners 5k featuring “secret surprises,” hot dogs, paint, relaxation, games and cake… It should be quite an experience. Plus, runners get a one of a kind Gritty 5K t-shirt, an exclusive finisher’s medal and a Flyers game ticket. Learn more about the Gritty 5K.
